Since January 1, 2020, we have been doing significant work in the administration of Latvia’s energy policy, strengthening energy efficiency initiatives, ensuring oversight of the mandatory procurement mechanism, and facilitating the country’s move towards sustainable energy solutions.
We would like to inform you that as of February 1, 2025, as part of the reorganization, energy policy functions are being transferred to the Energy and Environment Agency (EVA), which will operate under the supervision of the Ministry of Climate and Energy. The EVA will continue the work of the State Construction Control Bureau, monitoring compliance with energy efficiency and sustainability requirements, offering support in the implementation of renewable energy projects, and promoting a favorable environment for the development of sustainable investments.
We wish the EVA success in strengthening the future of Latvia’s energy sector!
